Error message "However, the card is not the one being requested, and cannot be used for the current operation."
Hi. I get error message "However, the card is not the one being requested, and cannot be used for the current operation." when I want to enroll certificate onto smart card. The same card works fine with another reader. The card is gemalto net card, and reader that doesn't work is gem plus usb. What exaclty does this me, the card is not one being requested? Why can't it be used for current operation (enrollmen), since same card works on other reader. BR

Hello, The error message indicates that the system cannot recognize the smart card. As we have not information about this device, I cannot perform a test to verify whether it is the expected behavior. You may refer to the following KB article to check if the hot fix helps: Error message when you try to use the Encrypting File System wizard to create a self-signed certificate that can be stored in a smart card on a Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based computer or on a Windows Server 2008-based computer Regards, Sabrina This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees, and confers no rights. |Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
